MOTIVATION AND ATTITUDE OF NEWLY INDUCTED DENTAL STUDENTS TOWARDS DENTISTRY AS A PROFESSION

Abstract
 Objective: To determine the motives and attitude of newly admitted first year dental students towards dentistry as a profession at Khyber College Dentistry, Peshawar
 Material methods: A cross-sectional study with questionnaire consisting 12 questions regarding decision making for choosing profession, were given to 50 Peshawar. The was done start session 2020-2021. data collected statistically analyzed using Microsoft word 2016 IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22.0
 Results: Most internally motivated selecting 60% didn’t have any relatives in dentistry, 30% thought that it is an honorable financially good 35% selected because independent practice
 Conclusion: Independent practice, honor society main factors selection profession. It important know reasons behind helps train accordingly
